15 April 1889 Probate of the will (17 June 1875) of Wentworth Schofield, Stratford-upon-Avon, hatter: bequeathes all real and personal estate to wife Alice for her life or widowhood, then: - To son Wentworth Schofield Nos. 49 -51 Bull Street with proviso that they are not to be mortgaged. - To grandchildren, Arthur Cheffins, Alice Cheffins, and Ada Cheffins, Nos.52-54 Bull Street, but with power to testator's daughter Alice Cheffins to receive rents as long as she is separated from her husband. - To daughter Sarah Peberday: No. 8 Wood Street for remainder of lease together with business and stock in trade. - To grandchildren William and Joseph Peberday: No. 8 Wood Street and business after death of their mother. - To son William [Henry] Schofield: butchers shop and premises at No. 9 Wood Street where he now lives. Sole executor: son Wentworth. 8 March 1851 Approval from local Board of Health for plans deposited by Joseph Holtom, Stratford-upon-Avon, builder, for 6 cottages in Bull Lane. [Nos. 49-54 Bull Street]. 1923 Schedule of title deeds relating to Nos. 49-54 Bull Street to be handed over to Edmund King. At this date Nos. 49-51 are property of H. H. Edwards and Nos. 52-54 are the property of Edmund King.
