Description

Assignment by Joseph Warner Bromley of Bury St. Edmunds, co. Suffolk, esq., at the request of William Walter Slade Amans, William Bromley and Thomas Smith and on the nomination of Robert Knight, to John Bartlam of Beoley, co. Worcs., clerk, reciting amongst other instruments, indentures of lease and release dated the day before and that day respectively by which Robert Knight purchased for £4346 the freehold of properties in Studley mentioned in DR 36/97-98, of the residue of terms of 1000 and 2000 years in these properties in trust for the said Robert Knight. Signed by the parties with seals. Witnesses: 1,3 and 5. Thomas Kirk, Symonds Inn, London, H. Parker; 2, George Sperling, James Borton Junr., Bury St. Edmunds; 4 6. F. Palmer, rector of Alcester, Robt: Bartlam, attorney-at-law, Alcester. Endorsed 8 June 1827 with surrender by Thomas Bartlam, clerk, precentor of the cathedral church of Exeter, devisee under the will of John Bartlam, deceased, to Robert Knight of the residue of the said two several terms of years.
