Richard Warburton to Lady Russell. 72 letters from Lady Russell's agent in Ireland,in connection with the collection of money for her annuity. From June 1713 to April 1715 he spends a great deal of time 'dunning' Mr Burgh, the accountant.general, for a state of account of the two grants, and thereafter for subsequent accounts. In December 1714 he enlists the help of Mr.Pratt, deputy paymaster-general, who 'desires noe gratuity for his trouble being willing to serve any friend of my Lord Treasurers.' After Lady Dorchester's death in 1717 more money comes in, but the arrears are not finally cleared until May 1719, and the money not all in Lady Russell's hands until October of that year. Arrangements are then made for the annuity to be paid regularly each year.
