Counterpart of lease, indented, from Richard Quynye, master of the Gild of the Holy Cross etc., of Straforde vppon Avyn, William Cloppton, esq., Thomas Taylour, Hughe Raynoldes, Thomas Whateley, William Smyth, Richard Lyghtfote, John Jeffreys and William Benett, aldermen, William Menske and Andrew Sutton, proctors of the same Gild, to John Jeffreys, of a close in Stratford between Evysham lone `in the Eeest parte and the Kynges highe way towarde Svyssham and Shottrey feldes in y supe; Weyst parte, buttynge towarde the grounde of the College of Straforde in the sowthe partye', then in the tenure of Hughe Raynoldes, for 41 years, at an annual rent of 10 shillings `to and for y supe; vse profectes supportacions and relevynge of all and synguler ye xxiiijt supi; poore and impotent peaple of the almes howse of y supe; Gilde of Straforde forsaid', with bond of obligation in £10 for the performance of covenants `Gevyn and sealyd in the Gilde haule', 18 September, 34 Henry VIII Endorsed in a later hand: `Now in the tenure of Jhon Lorde and his assignes' Seal lost
