Counterpart of lease, indented, from Thomas Balsale, master of the Gild of the Holy Cross, etc., of Stratford upon Auen, and John Rolfe and Thomas Treweman, proctors, with the assent of the aldermen and the whole council of the Gild, to John Hale, `smyth', and one of his sons, of a tenement containing a half burgage in Stratford in Rotherstrete, between a tenement of the said John Hale and a tenement of the said Gild, for 80 years at an annual rent of 2s.6d. and a chief rent of 6d Witnesses: William Couper, `capitalis ballivus', Thomas Staffordshire and Rouland Bocher, `subballivi', John Webbe, Thomas Leeke and others Dated at Stratford in the feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, 33 Henry VI Seals: (1) Of red wax, circular. The letter T with a bar through it. (2) Lost
