Description

Counterpart of lease, indented, from Thomas Balsale, master of the Gild of the Holy Cross etc., of Stratford upon Auen and John Rolfe and John Oxton, proctors, with the assent of the aldermen and the whole council of the Gild, to William Ireton, `wever', of a tenement with four bays built below it in Stratford in Shepustrete, between a tenement of the Gild in which John Tewcusbery late dwelt and a shop on the corner in which Hugh Fisshelake, mercer, late dwelt, for 70 years at an annual rent of 6s.8d Witnesses: John Hale, `capitalis ballivus', John Holanton and Thomas Staffordshire, `subballivi', John Hannys, John Webbe and others Dated at Stratford in the hall of the Gild, in the feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, 34 Henry VI Seal of red wax, circular, broken.
