Copy of the will of John Hathaway Taylor of Shottery in the parish of Old Stratford lime burner, dated 18 July 1816, with the following bequests: to his wife Mary Taylor all his messuages, tenements, gardens, buildings and land in the parish of Old Stratford, now in the testator's and Samuel Bridges' occupation, also his money, securities for money and the use of all household goods for life. to his son William Taylor the reversion of the said messuages and land on the death of Mary Taylor, subject to the following legacies to be paid within 6 months of her decease: to his son John Taylor £100, to his son Thomas Taylor £40; and to his daughter Elizabeth Jesson wife of John Jesson of Aston Cantlow joiner £40; to his three children, the said John, Thomas and Elizabeth, all the residue of his real and personal estate to be equally divided between them as tenants in common. Appointment of Mary Taylor and William Taylor as executors. Witnesses: Thos. Cresswell, Jos. Cresswell, Elizabeth Kitchen servant to Mr. Cresswell (by mark). Proved in the Peculiar Cout of Stratford-upon-Avon by William Taylor only on 11 September 1819, and again by him in the Consistory Court of Worcester 9 September 1820.
