Feoffment from William Vale of Coventry, clothier, and Bridget his wife, to Thomas Rogers of Coventry, thread-maker, for £40, of three messuages in Elye Street, alias Swyne Street, Stratford-upon-Avon in the several tenures of George Myles, John Swanne and Abraham Tybbattes, bounded on the west by a messuage of Stratford Corporation in the tenure of the said Abraham Tybbattes, and on the east by a messuage and plot of ground in the tenure of John Knight, coverlet weaver. Signed: William Vale, Breget Vale. Two red seals on tags. Witnesses: John Vale, Thomas French, Edward Lowke, Samuel Ashworth. Endorsed with memorandum of delivery of seisin in the presence of Christian Tibbits, Thomas Harpar, John Swanne alias Heath (by mark). Enclosed: i) 11 June 1659: bond to perform covenants. Witnesses: Joseph Chambers, John Bishapp. ii) 12 June 1659: appointment of Christopher Smith of Stratford-upon-Avon, gentleman, as attorney to deliver seisin.
