Description

Indentures of lease and release, the release dated 19 December 1839, being a conveyance by Jeffery Bevington Lowe of Eattington, gent., and Robert Bell Wheler of Stratford-upon-Avon, gent., (the surviving devisees and trustees of the will of John Lord, deceased, see ER60/7) with the consent and at the direction of Elizabeth Lord, spinster, Mary Bellamy the elder, widow, Margaret Snow Bellamy, spinster, and Mary Bellamy the younger, all of Shipston-upon-Stour (devisees of the said William Lord, see ER60/10) to John Ashfield of Stratford-upon-Avon, yeoman, of a messuage and appurtenances at the south west corner of Chapel Street called the Falcon Inn then in the occupation of the said John Ashfield and also a piece of garden ground with a small building erected thereon by the said John Lord at the south corner thereof in Scholars Lane, theretofore in the occupation of John Lord, William Lord and John Elliott successively, for the sum of £1050.
