Grant by Richard Bragge, clerk, John Raynwell, alderman of London, Richard Neal, gent., and John Webbe of Stretford upon Auen, to John Abbot, mercer, and Ralph Say, grocer, citizens of London, of a tavern in which wine used to be sold in Stretford with all the shops solars and other buildings erected over it in Middelrowe, between a tenement of the Fraternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Holy Cross of Stretford on the west and the highway on the north, east and south: which tavern they had of the gift and feoffment of Roger Forst Witnesses: John Sklatter, `capitalis ballivus', John Harapp' and William Stretford, `subballivi', Richard Lokyer, William Brasyer, John Kynges, William Lokyer and many others Dated at Stretford, 10 February, 20 Hen.VI With notarial signature: `Stodeley' Seals of red wax.
