Description

Grant, indented, by William Lucy, lord of Charlecote and John Palmer, one of the chaplains of the Gild of the Holy Cross of Stratford upon Auen, to William Roggers and Agnes his wife, late wife of John Baxster son of Thomas Baxster, and to Thomas Baxster son of the said John Baxster and Agnes his wife, for term of their lives and of the survivor of them, of a piece of ground (placeam) with a garden and a newly built house adjoining in Stratford in Wodestrete, between a tenement late of Alice Yate and a tenement late of John Eburton in which Thomas Goolde `lokeyer' then dwelt, the said ground and garden reaching from the said street to a garden of the Gild formerly of Christiana Dawndelyoun in length; which premises the grantors had of the gift and feoffment of the said Thomas Baxster father of the said John Baxster, together with master John Harryes, deceased Witnesses: John Hannys, master of the Gild, Thomas Balsale `capitalis ballivus ville de Stratford', William Prodoun, `subballivus', William Bole, William Ireton and others Dated at Stratford, Thursday in the feast of St. Andrew the Apostle, 37 Henry VI Seals: (1) Lost.
