Description

Deed to declare the uses of a fine between Samuel Jemmat the elder of Warwick, clerk, John Smith the younger of Badhurst, co. Sussex, gentleman, and Katherine his wife (daughter of the said Samuel Jemmat), Francis Jemmat of London, gentleman (son of the said Samuel Jemmat), Thomas Russel of Cubbington, gentleman, and Dorothy his wife (daughter of Samuel Jemmat), Samuel Jemmat the younger of London, gentleman (son of Samuel Jemmat the elder) and Frances Jemmat and Anne Jemmat (daughters of Samuel Jemmat the elder) of the one part, and Jeremiah Edwards of Claverdon, yeoman, and Thomas Griffin of Warwick, gentleman; namely that, for £260 paid by Jeremiah Edwards to Samuel Jemmat the younger, the messuage called Saddlebow and four closes (described) comprising 27 acres, in the tenure of Jeremiah Edwards, shall be held to the use of the said Jeremiah Edwards; the messuage late John Eysell's, to the use of Anne Jemmat; the messuage in Castle Lane to the use of Samuel Jemmat the elder; and the messuage in Mill Lane and the close at Saltisford to the use of Frances Jemmat.
