Draft surrender and release by William Baylis, Shipston-on-Stour, butcher, John Pemberton Fowler, Shipston-on-Stour, draper, William Rand, Tredington and Shipston-on-Stour, butcher and George Taylor, Stratford-upon-Avon, yeoman to Gore Townsend, Honington, esq., for £25 (viz: £12 to Fowler and £13 to Taylor as mortgagees and owners of title and equity in premises of William Rand, bankrupt) of road and right of access across land of Gore Townsend to Lesser Oddenhill Close, now the property of Fowler and Taylor. Reciting 1) 6 February 1816: Memorandum of Agreement between Baylis, Rand, Taylor and Thomas Hawtin (for Townsend) that, whereas Baylis and Rand held two closes by same lease, viz. Bigger Oddenhill Close divided into 2 with access for Rand across land of Baylis, and whereas Rand held lesser Oddenhill Close by separate lease with no access across Bigger Oddenhill but through land of Townsend, then for £7. 10s. 0d to Baylis from Rand and £25 to Rand from Townsend, Baylis would grant access and Rand would renounce land to Townsend. 2) Agreement to above by Taylor and Fowler as mortgagees of Rand. 3) Bankruptcy of Rand.
