Description

Conveyance by lease and release (lease missing) from William Dyer the elder of Exeter, esq., and Anne his wife (one of the sisters and co-heirs of Sir Hele Hooke, bart., deceased), and William Dyer the younger of the same, esq., their son and heir apparent, to Joseph Biscoe the elder of the Inner Temple, London, gentleman, and John Biscoe of the Six Clerks Office in Chancery, gentleman, of a third part of the manor of West Somerton, co. Norfolk, with its appurtenences (including the rectory), late in the tenure of Henry Nicholls; the manor of Martham, co. Norfolk, and all their other possessions in Winterton, Hemsbye, Holmesbye, Rollesby, Repps, Bastwick, Obey and Chippesby, co. Norfolk; also all those farms in the occupations of Thomas Townsend, Joseph Spiers, Joseph Burton, --- Farren, --- Crook, Richard Shepard, Robert Ball, Thomas Smith, Thomas Whitmore, Richard Dawson, Thomas Wright, Joseph Beebe and Thomas Ellis in Stretton Baskerville, Hinckley, Wolvey, Burton Hastings and Shelford; the manor and advowson of Stretton Baskerville; the rectory and church of Burton Hastings and all their property in Frampton-on-Severn and Lawrence Weston, co. Glos.; to hold the same as perfect tenants of the freehold in order that a recovery of the said lands may be made against them by Francis Dauvert of the Inner Temple, London, gentleman, to the use of Joseph Biscoe the younger of Chelsea, co. Middx., gentleman for a term of 1000 years in trust for the said William Dyer the elder for life, and after his decease for the said Anne Dyer, and after her decease for such persons as the said William and Anne shall appoint.
