Mortgage from Joseph Smith of Stratford-upon-Avon, saddler, to William Smith of Charlecote, gentleman, of a messuage in High Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, in the tenure of John Frensham, hatter [?28], bounded on the south by the messuage of Joseph Phipps and on the north by the messuage of the said Joseph Smith; which said messuage was lately purchased by the said Joseph Smith of Thomas Mosely; to hold the same for 500 years to secure £80. Annexed is a declaration, dated 20 June 1713, that the said Joseph Smith has borrowed from the said William Smith the further sum of £20 on the security of the property.
