Assignment of mortgage and lease: messuage in High Street and premises in Henley Street, Straford-upon-Avon

Assignment of a mortgage of a leasehold estate from William Hunt of Stratford-upon-Avon, gentleman, with the consent of Thomas Smith of the same, whitesmith, to George Tasker of the same, mason, comprising: a lease, dated 4 October 1762, from the Corporation of Stratford to John Walford of a messuage, lately two messuages in the tenures of George Gerrard and Charles Windus, in High Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, for 41 years at an annual rent of 24 shillings, which lease, on 1 January 1767, had been assigned to Henry Smith of Admington, who by his last will bequeathed the same to the said Thomas Smith; also a lease, dated 1 December 1765, from the said Corporation to William Elliott and Jane Sale, widow, of two messuages, two chambers and a pantry in Henley Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, late in the tenures of George Griffin, --- Whitehead, --- Jeacocks, John Lancaster and James Barran, and since of the said Thomas Smith, for 41 years at an annual rent of £4 5s 0d, which lease, on 16 May 1775, had been assigned to the said Thomas Smith; both of which leases, on 22 April 1777, were mortgaged by the said Thomas Smith to the said William Hunt, to secure £110. The said George Tasker having agreed to advance the further sum of £115, the whole estate now stands charged with a debt of £225.
