Oliver Baker: Photographs

Description

These photographs were mainly taken between c.1890-1935 by Oliver Baker, a professional photographer of Birmingham and later of Stratford and Bearley. He wrote, or contributed to, several books for which a number of these photographs may have been taken. The Vale of Arden, by Alfred Hayes with illustrations by O. Baker, 1897; In Shakespeare's Warwickshire and the unknown years by Oliver Baker, 1937; Black Jacks and Leather Bottells, by O. Baker with illustrations by the author [1921]; Ludlow Town and Neighbourhood. A series of Sketches of its scenery, antiquities, genealogy ... with an etching and illustrations etc. by O. Baker 1888; Historical and Descriptive sketch of Ludlow Castle ... by Thomas Wright, to which is added an account of the ancient monuments in the church, and a walk through the town by Mr. Oliver Baker 13th Ed. 1909.
