Abstract of the will of Ralph Sheldon, Broadway: To be buried in churchyard of Broadway. £100 each to daughters Elizabeth, Jane and Anne at time of marriage, or, if leave home, then £10 p.a. £100 to son John 'owed to me by my brother William Combe' To wife Mary, £20 p.a. from rents and £11 in money. She to have for her life or until remarriage the use of house, goods, best bed and chamber. Son Thomas to provide her food, drink and clothes. If daughters die before marriage, then share divided twixt sisters and brother John. Residue of estate to son and heir Thomas, who sole executor. Overseers: Ralph Sheldon of Beoley: Ralph Hubaud of Ipsley; William Combe of Alvechurch; John Edgock of Ipsley and Richard Edgock of Salford.
