Report of a Hall of Stratford, 6 September 1586, when John Wheler and John Shaxspere were superseded as Alderman, `for that Mr. Wheler dothe desyre to be put owt of the Companye and Mr. Shaxspere dothe not come to the Halle' etc. At the same Hall John Shaxspere was sworn as Constable. Folio 29.
