Description

Assignment dated 10 March 1711/12 (Old style) [1712] by Hannah Freeman of Birmingham, spinster, daughter of John Freeman, late of Stratford upon Avon, shoemaker, Thomas Sowtham, of Stratford, gent., and Alice, his wife, executrix of the will of Thomas Wootton, late of Stratford, baker, her late husband, and George Hands, late of Stratford, maltster, and now of Warwick, to William Cale, of Stratford, gent., for £8 of a messuage, etc. in Greenhill Street, al. `Mooretownes end', leased, 4 May 1682, by the Mayor, etc. of Stratford to the said John Freeman (then being in his tenure, but now in the tenure of Robert Cooke) for 41 years at a yearly rent of 8 shillings and a couple of capons and by him assigned, 28 March 1685 (ER2/95) to the said Thomas Wootton and George Hands, in trust for Catharine his wife, and Hannah, his daughter, successively, which Catharine is since dead.
