Indenture of four parts of release and covenants leading to the uses of a recovery between Richard Dighton, late of Clifford Chambers, thne of Hidcote Bartrim, Gloucestershire,esq., Francis Keyt Dighton of CLifford CHambers, esq., eldest son and heir of Richard and ALice his wife, late Alice Keyt, of the first part, John Goodwin of Crane Court, Fleet Street, London, gent., of the second part and George Petre of the parish of St. Clement Danes, co. Middx., gentleman, of the third part and Daniel Hanchett of Coleman Street, London, apothecary, of the fourth part, whereby for the barring, docking and destroying of all estates tail and remainders on the property in question and in consideration of £700 paid to ffrancis Keyt Dighton by Daniel Hanchett and of 10s. apiece to him and Richard Dighton by John Goodwin, they Richard Dighton and ffrancis Keyt Dighton released to John Goodwin (in his actual possession then being by virtue of a bargain and sale for a year dated the day before [no.46] the capital messuage and lands in Hidcott Barthrum, co. Gloucs., therein described, to the intent that John Goodwin might become perfect tenant of the freehold so that a good and perfect common recovery with double vouchers might be had against him in the name of George Petre, and it was covenanted that proceedings should be taken and the recovery had, to the following uses, viz: to the use and behoof of Richard Dighton for life, then of Alice his wife for her life, then to the use and behoof of Daniel Hanchett for 500 years subject to the equity of redemption on repayment of consideration money and interest on specified dates, and on the expiration or sooner determination of this term to the uses appointed by an indenture tripartite of release dated 5 January 1687 between Francis Keyt and Alice his daughter, since the wife of Richard Dighton, by her then name of Alice Keyt of the first part, Richard Dighton of the second part and Sir William Keyt of Ebrington, co. Gloucs., baronet and John Baylie of the University of Oxford, doctor of Civil Laws, both since deceased, of the third part, purporting to be the marriage settlement of Richard Dighton with Alice Keyt.
