Conveyance by lease and release (lease missing) from Isaac Smith of Castle Street in the Park, in Southwark, co. Surrey, salter (brother and heir of William Smith late of Old Stratford, gentleman, deceased who was nephew and heir of Henry Smith of the same, gentleman, who was son and heir of Anthony Smith of the borough of Stratford-upon-Avon, gentleman) and Mary his wife, to Joseph Woolmer of the borough of Stratford, grocer, and Thomas Woolmer of the same, gentleman, for £380, of a messuage in the parish of Old Stratford and the borough of Stratford in the several tenures of Susannah Hurdis, spinster, and Thomas Cockman, clerk, abutted on the east by a barn, backside and orchard belonging to Edward Clopton, esq., in the tenure of Thomas Burman, dyer, Church Street on the west, the road leading from Church Street to the parish church on the south, and a house, backside and piece of garden ground late in the tenure of Thomas Smith, skinner, deceased and now of Margaret his widow on the north; to hold free from all encumbrances save one rent charge of £60 per annum payable to the said Susannah Hurdis for 99 years or until her death out of the said messuage and other lands of the said Isaac Smith in Wilmcote.
