Description

Conveyance from Richard Stanley of the Railway Tavern Droitwich innkeeper and Esther his wife (one of the children and the administratrix of Levi Butler late of Broadmarston farmer), Charles Butler of Birmingham butcher, Charles Gould of South Littleton, co. Worcs., gardener and Selina his wife, James Butler of Broadmarston farmer, Thomas Moore of North Littleton farmer and Rebecca Louisa his wife, Joseph Smith of Leicester pointsman and Louisa Ann his wife, Reuben Houghton of Redditch, co. Worcs., needle manufacturer and Mary Ann his wife and George Tomlinson of Broadmarston and Rhoda his wife, (which said Charles Butler, Selina Gould, James Butler, Rebecca Moore, Louisa Smith, Mary Houghton and Rhoda Tomlinson are the other surviving children of the said Levi Butler) to William Averill of Pershore, co. Worcs., gentleman, for £250 paid by Rhoda Tomlinson to Richard Stanley and Esther his wife, reciting no. 2 and that Henry Butler the ninth child of the said Levi Butler had died in Australia intestate leaving his elder brother the said Charles Butler his heir at law, of a messuage known as The Leg of Mutton Inn in Broadmarston, late in the occupation of Mrs. Ann Butler (died 15 April 1870) and now of George Tomlinson, bounded by the village road of Broadmarston, by garden land of Thomas Stephens Shekell esquire, garden land of Henry Godfree and an occupation road leading to a cottage belonging to Henry Godfree; to hold in trust for Rhoda Tomlinson for life, and after her decease for George Tomlinson and their heirs. Signed and sealed by all the parties except William Averill. Witness: S. R. Hudson, solicitor of Pershore. Attached is a certificate under the Statute of 3 4 William IV for taking the acknowledgements of deeds by married women.
