Attested copy of the will of Richard Walford of Stratford-upon-Avon, shopkeeper, dated 1 January 1785, with the following bequests: i) to his wife, Hannah Walford, for life, his tenements in Swine Street [Ely Street], one of which is in the tenure of the testator and his daughter Mary Walford, another (to the east) is in the tenure of William Satchwell, another (to the west) is in the tenure of William Marsh, and the other three (also to the west) are in the tenure of William Martin, Edward Miland and Richard Walker; which messuages the testator purchased from Susanna Mortiboys ii) to his daughter Mary Walford (after his wife's decease), the messuage at present in the testator's occupation iii) to his daughter, Hannah Walford (after his wife's decease) the two messuages at present in the tenures of William Satchwell and William Marsh iv) to his daughter Sarah Walford (after his wife's decease) the three remaining messuages at present in the several tenures of William Martin, Edward Miland and Richard Walker to his wife, Hannah Walford, all his personal estate for life and after his decease, the household goods to be divided between his three daughters, (with the exception of a silver tankard, which is to be given to his son, Thomas Ballard Walford), and the residue of the personal estate between his four children
