Description

Draft will of William Charles of Wellesbourne Mumford, hosier, with the following bequests: i) as in ER101/20 [erased] ii) as in ER101/20 iii) after the death of the testator's wife, the stock in trade and household furniture to his children, Ann, John and Richard iv) to John Gardner of Wellesbourne Mumford, grocer, and William Russell of the same, maltster, all his real and personal estate in trust to pay £50 to apprentice the testator's grandchildren, William Charles, Jane Charles and Edward John Charles v) to the use of his wife Sarah, for her life the rent and interest from the said real and personal estate free of marital control vi) after the death of the said Sarah, to his said trustees the sum of £400 in trust to buy government securities and to apply the interest for the maintenance and education of his said grandchildren until the youngest of them comes of age, then the whole sum to be divided between the said grandchildren equally vii) to his said trustees (with the approbation of the testator's daughter Ann) the sum of £600 [erased, replaced by £550] in trust to buy government securities and to pay the interest for the use of the said Ann, free of marital control viii) after the death of the said Ann, to his said trustees the sum of £600 [erased, replaced by £550] to use to maintain the children of the said Ann until the youngest comes of age, then the whole sum to be divided between them equally ix) to his son John [erased, replaced by Richard] all the property described in ER101/20/iv, v, and vi x) the residue to be divided between the testator's said children, Ann, John, Richard and William, with monetary bequests to the same The said John Gardner and William Russell appointed executors and Sarah Charles appointed executrix
