Confirmation by Edward Wyndesore esq., Henry Hampden of Ascott, co. Buckingham gent., John Wylford the elder citizen and merchant taylor of London and John Wylford junior to John Hampden knt. and Phillipa his wife to implement an agreement made on 4 May 2 Edward VI [1548] between the said John Hampden of the first part, the said Edward Wyndesore, Henry Hampden, John Wylford the elder and John Wylford junior of the second part, and Edward Ferrers son and heir of Henry Ferrers and Katherine his wife, one of the daughters and heirs of the said John Hampden, of the manor of Theydon super le Mounte with appurtenances in Essex, together with the advowson of the church, 2 messuages, 1,000 acres of land, 200 acres of meadow, 300 acres of pasture, 200 acres of wood, 200 acres of heath and 100s. rent with all other rights and appurtenances. The said John and Phillipa to hold the same for the term of their lives, with remainder to the said Edward Ferrers and Bridget Wyndesore, daughter of William Wyndesore knt. Lord Wyndesore, and the lawful issue of the said Edward, with reversion to the rightful heirs of the said John Hampden, Christopher Wescott being appointed attorney to deliver seisin. 11 May 2 Edward VI [1548].
