Compton Verney: early deeds, Compton Murdak, a lease

Description

Lease for seven years by Robert Skyrne, in the name of Richard, bishop of Salisbury, to Henry Toly, John Hygecok and Thomas atte Mille of Compton Murdak, of the manor of Compton Murdak, with all its appurtenances, except fines and profits of the manor courts, for seven years, paying annually to the said Bishop and Robert or their assigns, 26 marks at the four usual terms.

Right of re-entry and repossession if rent in arrears by one month after any due date. They responsible for all works and repairs on the said manor, but not to take wood from manor without permission of the steward of the manor for the time being.
