Compton Verney: early deeds, Compton, a grant

Description

Grant by John Wattes of Lighthorne to John Warde alias John Jones of Compton Murdak and Joan his wife, daughter of Wattes, of all his lands, tenements and appurtenances in the town and fields of Compton which he holds by gift and feoffment from the said John Warde.

To hold to the said John and Joan and the legitimate heirs of their bodies from the chief lord of the fee for services due and accustomed. If John and Joan die without issue, then property to descend as a whole to the right heirs of the said John Warde alias Jones.
