Copy of a grant of the Clopton Estate from C.T Warde of Colbourne on the Isle of Wight to Richard Marriott of Bartletts Buildings in the City of London. Recitals: George Lloyd devised his estates in Stratford upon Avon and Hulme in Manchester to his briother John Lloyd then to his nephew C.T Warde. Now: this indenture regards the settling of the estate for the forthcoming marriage between C.T Warde and Marianne Laws of Rothampstead, Harpenden, Hertfordshire and C.T Warde's desire to settle the estate at Stratford and Welcombe to secure £1000 per annum for widow during her life also to raise £20000 for any children of the marriage.
