Assignment of legacies by Benjamin Alford of Threadneedle St. London, porter, to John Thomas of Aymestrey, Herefs., tailor: BA owes JT £30 and has another debt of £64. JT has promised to satisfy the second debt; in return BA is to assign and assure to JT all his right and interest in a sum of £200 (lent by James Griffiths of the Thorn, deceased, on the security of premises in Aymestrey then or late of BA) and also in the proceeds to arise by the sale of JG's stock, crops, household goods and furniture etc in a house in Shobdon in the occupation of Jane Alford: assignment by BA of a quarter share in the sum of £200 payable on the decease of Jane Alford and of proceeds from the sale of the effects, as above, with appointment of JT as BA's attorney, 3rd November 1827.
