Miscellaneous papers pinned together: Receipt for £400 paid by Joseph Birch by the Stourbridge Kidderminster Banking Company, 16th January 1877. Receipt for payment of £80 from Richard Gardner to Francis Birch for horses purchased from him, 1884. Note signed by J P Davenport that he is indebted to Frank Birch in the sum of £1 repayable July 1/84, undated. Receipt for £90 from Richard Gardner to [Birch: only a cross is shown across the stamp], for horses purchased, July 3rd 1882. Note that Richard Gardner bought from Francis Birch the cottage and "contance" of no.54 Henley St, paying £50 as deposit and the balance to be paid when the conveyance is ready for signature, signed by Birch with his mark, February 12th 1884. List of ingredients for a remedy, written in the same hand as that of no. 12/22, c.1880s. Draft agreement by Francis Birch to allow his wife Sarah Birch the sum of ten shillings per week for the term of her life, and to give her the whole of his earthenware, china and glass business at 12 Henley St, with agreement by Sarah Birch that Francis Birch shall have the use of the barn yard for twelve months, signed only with the mark of Sarah Birch, without a witness. Written on a shop bill, undated, [?c. summer 1884, when Sarah sold off the stock, or some time before this]. Note of "all the furniture safe c in the little Bar", undated.
