Stratford, High St: original bundle of deeds wrapped in brown paper entitled "7th Febry 1832. Mr Jos. Elliott to Mr Jno Rouse. Transfer of Mortgage for £289 13. 2 Int": 1. Lease for 42 years from the Mayor, Aldermen and Burgesses of Stratford to William King, late of Warwick now of Stratford, ironmonger, of two messuages on the east side of High St, now in the tenure of Edward Taplin and William King [plan on dorse], 29th May 1823. 2. Assignment of lease from William King, with the consent of the mayor etc., to Joseph Elliott of Wasperton, cordwainer, of the two messuages, for the residue of the term in trust to sell and to secure £300 and interest, 1st June 1826 3. Lease for 12 years from Joseph Elliott at the request of William King who also leased and confirmed the lease, and with the consent of the mayor etc., to John Phipps of New Town, upholsterer, of the property, 29th August 1829. 4. London Gazette for 3rd June 1831: Notice on page 1089 that William King now of Birmingham, ironmonger, has assigned all his property to William Osborne of Warwick, ironmonger, for the benefit of his creditors. 5. Transfer of mortgage from Joseph Elliott, with the consent of the mayor etc., to John Rouse of Warwick, maltster: it is stated that default was made in the repayment of the £300, and £289 13s 2d is still owing; and so the two houses now in the tenures of Samuel Cope Cox and John Phipps are the security for repayment, 17th February 1832. 6. Copy purchase agreement for sale by John Lampray of Warwick, gent, for and on behalf of the executors of William Osborn to Samuel C. Cox of Stratford, ironmonger, of the two leasehold properties on the east side of the High St, 5th September 1833. 7. Assignment for the residue of a term of 42 years from John Rouse and Maria Osborn, widow of William Osborn, John Phillips of Warwick, glazier, and John Lampray, with the consent of William King and the mayor etc., to Samuel Cope Cox of Warwick, ironmonger, of the two messuages, 28th February 1834
