Two deeds relating to land in Old Stratford. 10 11 Oct 1825. Lease and release by Thomas Edden Hartwell, Blackwell, Tredington, Worcs., gent., to William Burman, Stratford-upon-Avon, druggist and grocer, and Thomas Burman, Warwick, mercer and draper, for £1271 6s 6d of two closes of arable land in Old Stratford, being 14 acres adjoining the turnpike road to Henley, abutted on SE by land of Dr. Davenport and George Lloyd, on SW by road, on NW by land of --- Smith, in occupation William Alcock, which said closes were in the occupation of Timothy Smith. 29 Feb 1828. Conveyance by lease and release by George Lloyd of 'Welcombe Lodge', Esq., to William Burman, Stratford-upon-Avon, grocer for £105 of two closes containing 4 roods 17 perches in Old Stratford for the purposes of providing access to the above.
