Compton Verney: early deeds, Compton Murdak, a grant

Description

Grant by Richard Verney of Compton Verney, esquire to John Danvers, knight, Anthony Fitzherbert, sergeant at law, Edward Belknap, Edward Ferrers, John Spencer, Edward Conwey, Nicholas Malory, Thomas Straunge, esquires, Richard Wyllys, gentleman and John Hopper [as feoffees], of three closes, with appurtenances in Compton Mordak alias Compton Verney, containing 1000 acres of land and pasture, of which:

One close is called Odyll field, abutting on to the Fosse and Lighthorne;
Another is called Savage field, abutting to Lighthorne
The third is called Myll field, and abuts the Fosse Way.

To hold the same to the uses of the will specified in the last will of the said Richard Verney.
