Description

Bond from John Sabin of Meriden, yeoman, and John Butcher of the same, carpenter, to William Smith the younger, Ralph Bucknell and William Hawkesford, churchwardens and overseer of the poor in the parish of Corley in the penal sum of 40 pounds, the condition being to fully acquit and exonerate the said churchwardens and overseer from any charges which might arise from the unlawful settlement in their parish at the house of Willoughby Willey of one Mary Mann, a single woman pregnant with child.
