Copy of writ addressed to the Sheriff of Warwickshire under the order whereby all persons holding lands to the value of 40 pounds per annum or more on 5 January, 1 Charles I [1625/6], who had not taken up knighthood by 31 January of that year, were liable to a fine, to procure that John Gregorie of Stivechal in Coventry, who had not complied with the order, should pay his fine to the Lord Treasurer or appear before the Barons of the Exchequer within fifteen days of Easter next following to explain why he had omitted to do so.
