Description

Envelope containing unidentifiable scraps of parchment and paper, many of the pieces having been used as ties. Included are: i) a mutilated and obliterated deed, believed by F.C. Wellstood to be a Segrave document of the 14th century relating to Brinklow. ii) an indented deed in English, almost obliterated by damp but dated tentatively by F.C. Wellstood, 15 October 1507 and assigned to Coventry. iii) two obliterated deeds, possibly relating to Corley. One bears on a tag a circular, red seal, broken. Device, a fleur de lys.
