Description

Feoffment with warranty from John Waide of Coventrie, mercer, son and heir of Christopher Waide of the same, mercer deceased, to Thomas Gregorie of the same city, gent., for 100 pounds, of all his messuages, cottages, lands and tenements in the vill and fields of Stychall, and the same in the vills and fields of Corley and Fylongley, late in the tenure of Richard Catisbye, knight, and also a chief rent of 8 pence from a tenement of Christopher Waren in Corley, now in the tenure of John Maylyns; to hold for ever of the chief lord of the fee. Appointment of William Queneboroughe of Coventrie, chaplain, as attorney to deliver seisin. Dated: 16 April, 37 Henry VIII Seal on tag; oval, red. A merchant's mark. Attached are two indentures of fine, one between John Wade and Thomas Wood for land in Corley, and the other too faded to read.
