Description

Bargain and sale between Robert Carter, citizen and fishmonger of London, and Sir Thomas Leigh, alderman and Dame Alice Leigh his wife, whereby in consideration of £950, Carter conveys to Sir Thomas and Dame Alice, Stoneleigh Grange with appurtenances, buildings and lands, now or late in the tenure of Thomas Dunton, Robert Carter and William Farr. Covenant to secure title free from all incumbrances, with the exceptions of a lease made by Ralph Underhill to Thomas Dunton of the Grange, another by Underhill to Thomas Leyke of a walk mill and a copyhold granted by the Queen for the lives of Robert Stoketon, Thomas Stoketon and Agnes Stoketon.
