Description

Lease for 10 years from John Archer' esquire of Thomas Grevys of Knoll' of a tenement on Tonworth' called Waters with all pastures, meadows, moors and 'lesures' belonging to the same and 20 'kyen' valued at £8 together with the profit of the same; to hold from the date of this lease for 10 years for the annual rent of £3. 6. 8d. to be paid on 1 may and 1 november, the said John Archer to have the right of distraint if the said rent was unpaid or in arrears 15 days beyond any of the said terms, or after one monthe the said Thomas was to forfeit for £20 to secure the performance of covenants; at the end of 10 years the said Thomas was to deliver to the said John 20 'kien' price £8 , whichever the said John chose; the said Thomas to repair the house and hedges belonging to the said property for which he was to receive from the said John sufficient straw and hegebote for the enclosing of the said ground.
