Description

Quitclaim from Ranulf son of Elis to Roger son of Gerin, the grantor's lord, of the land which he held of the grantor lying between the stream and the hedge of Richard de Gornhale in length, and in width reaching from a certain oak tree to the said stream and towards four alder trees (aunes); and for this the said Roger gives 5 shillings. Witnesses: Richard Goher, Robert de Crowenhal, Richard de Middelmor, Robert de Ulvesburi, Robert de Gorsthul, Robert Padehonger, Nicholas de Monekespathe and others. Seal on tag, circular in natural wax. A fleur de lys. Legend indecipherable. Latin, parchment, 51/4 x 4 ins.
