Quitclaim with warranty from Richard Wescote of Tonworthe county Warr' yeoman to John Symons of Tonworthe husbandman of a messuage in Monkis pathstrete in the parish of Tonworthe, extending in length from the land lately belonging to Richard Archer esquire deceased called Verdons on the one hand and the lane called Hey lane on the other and in breadth between the land lately belonging to the Fild of the township of Henley on the north and the highway leading from Henley as far as the township of Brymyngham on the south; also 5 crofts adjacent to the said tenement; all which property the said John Symons lately held by the gift and feoffment of Baldwin Porter of the city of Coventrie gentleman, son and heir of John Porter late of Escote county Warr' gentleman deceased, according to the charter of the said Baldwin, 22 January 29 Henry VIII [1537/1538]; the said Richard joining with the said John as plaintiff to levy a fine against the said Baldwin as deforciant, Michaelmas 4 Edward VI [1550].
