Late 16th or early 17th century copy of a feoffment from Kenelm Throkmerton, Clement Throkmorton and John Throkmorton to William Willington of Barcheston esquire for £90. 6s. of a messuage called Vales now or late in the tenure of Thomas Swanne and John Cotterell in Tonworth, lately belonging to the chantry called the first chantry alias the chantry of All Saints in Tonworth, messuages and lands now or late in the tenure of Christopher Shackspeare in Tanworth also lately belonging to the said chantry, a messuage called Umberhill formerly in the several tenures of John Fullwood the younger and John Turner, then of Robert Taylor and John Fullwood in Tanworth and Aspleye [in Wotton Wawen] and formerly belonging to the chantry of the Blessed Mary in Tanworth called the second chantry as the grantors held the same by letters patent, 24 June 7 Edward VI [1553]; to hold for ever from the King as of his manor of Eastgreenwich in socage and not in chief. Appointment of attorney by the said grantors of John Fullwood the younger gentleman, Thomas Grene and Richard Westcote of Tanworth yeoman to deliver seisin. Dated, 7 Edward VI.
