Description

Gift with warranty from William de Bello Campo, earl of Warwick, to Richard de Spona of Tonewrth', for homage and service, of three acres of land from the heath of Tonewrth' extending in length from the land of John Reinald to the road leading towards the church of Tonewrth', and lying in width between the said road and the lands of Richard de Coppa and Richard de Sponna; to hold the same to the said Richard, his heirs and assigns, except a religious house, rendering annually 12 pence (2 terms) for all services save suit of court at Tonewrth' at Christmas and Whitsun and the payment of scutage at the rate of 1 penny per acre when it falls due.
