Underlease from Maurice Fulford of Solihull yeoman, Thomas Fulford and William Fulford, two of the sons of the said Maurice to Thomas Smith of Lapworth yeoman ( reciting lease of 1 May 27 Elizabeth [1585] from John Gower of Woodehall, Worcestershire esquire to the said Maurice, Thomas and William Fulford of, among other lands one pasture divided into two parts called Gowers alias Lacies in Tanworth then in the tenure of Richard haselocke, to hold for their lives rendering annually £3. 7s.) for £10 of the said pasture [ 2 terms]; the said lessors having the right of distraint for non-payment or arrears of the said rent; the said Thomas Smith to maintain the said lands and to have sufficient tinsell for the same.
