Description

Lease from Andrew Archer of Tanworth esquire to Thomas Davport of Rowington gentleman of a messuage with all lands and buildings belonging to the same with meadows, pastures, leasowes and closes, now divided into 5 parts adjoining the said messuage in Tanworth, known to be part of the Old Parke in Tanworth, now or late in the tenure of Anne Barker widow, excepting timber rights and rights to hunt or hawk or take hares, rabbits or partridges or fishing rights in the stream running through the said property or the right to search or dig for coal, with free entry and exit to the same, excepting the rights also of the rabbits of the said Andrew to the warren to be made adjoining the banks and mounds of the said property and excepting entry and exit to build four bays of housing near the said messuage during the said term; to hold for ten years from lady Day [25 March] next, rendering annually £40 [ 2 terms] ; the said Andrew to have the right of distraint if the said rent was unpaid or in arrears 40 days beyond any of the said terms; the said Thomas to repair and maintain teh said property and to pay tithes and all other charges upon the said property.
