Description

Draft settlement previous to the marriage of Simon Archer, son and heir of Andrew Archer of Tanworth esquire, and Anne Ferrers, daughter of Sir John Ferrers of Tamworth knight, being a conveyance from the said Sir John Ferrers to the said Andrew Archer, the said Simon Archer, Sir Thomas Lucy of Charlecote knight, Thomas Spencer of Claverdon esquire, Thomas Burdett of Formarke, Derbyshire, esquire, and Bartholomew Hales of Snitterfield esquire of the manor of Fleckenhoe otherwise known as Flecknoe [ in Wolfhamcote] with all messuages, buildings and lands belonging to the same and all liberties of the said manor, now in the tenure of the said Sir John Ferrers and Thomas Arnolde of Fecknoe, and all other lands and tenements of the said Sir John Ferrers in Fecknoe, Wolfhamcote and Wolvercote, Nethercote and Sawbridge; to hold to the use of the said Simon Archer for his life, then to the use of the said Anne for her life, then to their lawful heirs, and in default to the lawful heirs of the said Andrew or in default to the rightful heirs of the said Andrew for ever., excepting one lease from the said Sir John Ferrers to the said Thomas Arnolde; the said settlement to be void if the said marriage did not take place before 1 November next and the said property to be held to the use of the said Sir John Ferrers for ever.
