Description

Settlement previous to the marriage of Simon Archer, son and heir of Andrew Archer of Tanworth esquire, and Anne, daughter of Sir John Ferrers of Tamworth knight, being a conveyance from the said Andrew Archer to the said Sir John Ferrers, Sir Thomas Luce of Charlecote knight, Sir Richard Verney of Compton Verney knight, Thomas Spencer of Claverdon esquire, Thomas Burdett of Formarke, Derby, esquire and John Hemford of Suston, Herefordshire esquire, of the manors of Tanworth, Underslade and Monkespath in Tanworth and elsewhere in Warwickshire, with all messuages and rights belonging to the same, the parsonage and rectory of Tanworth with glebe lands, advowson of the vicarage and tithes, and all messuages and lands of the said Andrew in Umberslade and Monkespath or within the parish of Tanworth, which he has held for 3 years, excepting lands already conveyed in trust for the jointure of the said Anne, [no.1751]; to hold to the use of the said Andrew for life, with timber rights, then to the use of the said Simon and his male issue, or in default to the use of the said Andrew and his heirs for ever; the said settlement to be void if the said marriage did not take place before 1 November next and the said property to be held to the said Andrew and his heirs for ever.
