Description

Settlement previous to the marriage of Simon Archer, eldest son of Andrew Archer of Tanworth esquire, and Anne Ferrers, daughter of Sir John Ferrers of Tamworth knight being a conveyance from Richard Archer, second son of the said Andrew, at the direction of the said Andrew, to the said Sir John Ferrers, Sir Thomas Lucey of Charlecott knight, Thomas Spencer of Cleverdon esquire, Thomas Burdett of Formarke, Derby, esquire and Bartholomew hales of Snitterfield esquire of 2 pastures and meadows in Tanworth called Highfeildes in the tenure of William Astley for two years rendering annually £7; to hold to the use of the said Simon during his life, then to the said Anne during her life, then to the male issue of the said Simon, or in default to John Archer, brother of the said Andrew, and his male issue, or in default to the rightful heirs of the said Andrew for ever; the said settlement to be void if the said marriage did not take place before 1 November next and the said property to be held to the use of the said Richard.
