Agreement between Joan, Prioress of Hynewode, and John, son of Ralph de Ardern', concerning a dispute which arose between the said parties at Trinity Term 36 Edward III  relating to an annual rent of 14s. to be taken from half-an-acre of land in Cruddeworth', half-a-piece of meadow called le Newemedewe, half-a-piece of meadow called le Wetholme, and half-a-piece of land on which a mill formerly stood, according to an indenture made by Millicent, formerly Prioress of Hynewode, predecessor of the said Joan, and Ralph and Isabell, ancestors of the said John, son of the said Ralph; to settle the said dispute it was agreed that the said Joan should hold the said rent from the said lands and also on all other lands held by the said Joan at this time in the fee of Cruddworth' for ever; the said Joan having the right of distraint if the said rent was unpaid or in arrears from the said lands and from the lands of the said John in Cruddeworth'.
